The rest of AC update

Bally's is still the same with 75-85% pen in some cases. They too have joined the other casinos in having dancing women by the Blue Martini. WWW has beer pong tournaments now. Still not a place to even think about playing BJ at though, however I discovered something that somebody is going to get fired for sooner or later as it is a gift for all players. Resorts was the one bright spot in all of AC assuming you don't mind the sweat. I didn't bother checking Taj since their games have gone down the tube lately. Showboat wasn't any better. The Borgata was, well I'll say, quite an experience this trip to say the least. Just when I thought I had seen everything in the casinos, something new comes along. That's all I can say now. Still though, the games are 75-80% pen. Word has it the automatic shufflers will be making a comeback due to a renegotiated deal with Shufflemaster.

New policy at the Borg

Forgot to mention that they now require you to color up when leaving the table for any reason, even a bathroom break. They also swipe you out at this juncture until you come back.

How can they require you to color up? What if you say "no" and walk away? are they going to physically remove the chips from you?

Well here's what happens Jason. You ask the dealer to save your spot at the table or even if you don't ask, the dealer says, "I need to color you up as casino management won't allow players to leave their chips at the table anymore because of recent thefts." Now I guess theoretically I could be a total prick and ignore the dealer and leave but this could cause problems because the dealer could then get upset and/or call the pitboss over and explain why there are a stack of chips that aren't being attended to on the table.

Nevertheless, this definitely hurt my comp balance as it would often be many minutes later after I got back until the pitboss would be back around my table and swiped me in.

Treat the players like they are elementary students. Next, I am sure they will make you get a bathroom pass signed by the floor person before you can leave.

On another note, I'm sure this has got to great for the pace of the game.

Someone should get their superstitious act on there, recording W's and L's and claim to need to leave the table every few hands, so as to allow the luck to come back.

Every time I leave the table, I take a handful of green with me, only to return with one less of them.

If I was ever questioned why I did this, I'd say that I don't feel comfortable leaving bigger chips at the table.

South, that generally works except when they color you up, they know exactly how much you leave with unless you've been ratholing.

Oh ok. Leaving chips at table. I didn't realize that's what you were speaking of. I thought you meant that if you had 16 green and wanted to head to the bathroom with them, that they made you color up to 4 blacks before leaving.

As for leaving chips at the table, I have never done that. Never Ever. We have had discussions on other threads about this. Doesn't make sense to me. I wouldn't leave a stack of cash at the table while I go to the john. I wouldn't leave my wallet, watch or anything of value, so I am not leaving chips. Chips are money. I know the dealers is going to watch them for you. And what happens when he goes on break? Yeah, maybe if an incident occurred, you could complain and they could look at the tapes and a half hour later you might get your money back. Or you can not leave your money laying around with strangers.:rolleyes:

So again, I would refuse. I would say no I am good, slip the chips into my pocket and head for the john. I guess they can come along if they want.

The technique I described is ratholing; everyone time I get a "call" or have to go to the bathroom I take "x" green chips with me. When I return, I place "X-1" green chips back on the table. Therefore, everytime I leave the table, I effectively rathole $25.

Granted, I don't do this every single time, though. Sometimes "x" green chips are returned to the table.
