Anyone know about a bill to allow internet gambling in Jersey?

I heard on the radio that the NJ legislature has approved a bill that would allow NJ residents to play both poker and BJ on internet sites set up by casinos in AC. The speaker claimed that by keeping it intra-state, it doesn't violate the Federal ban as that law only applies to inter-state and international gambling.
He went on to say that this will give the AC casinos a leg up on Vegas if and when the Federal law is changed.
He made it sound like all they were waiting for was Gov. Christies signature.

The federal ban doesn't make online gambling illegal. It only makes it illegal to transfer money for gambling already banned by another law. Online poker is not illegal if your state doesn't ban it, and neither are casinos. The feds have tried people for this and lost.

Sports betting arrests made the news, and made everyone think the ban covered every form of internet gambling, because sports betting is covered under the Wire Fraud Act.

This is one way that AC casinos can get a leg up on Pennsylvania. Instead of Jersey residents driving to Pennsylvania to gamble, they can just stay home and gamble legally online.

But because Penn. can't play on-line poker from a NJ site, there is a lotta money off the table. We need to get'er done... US only for US residents (Dual-Citizenship and Green-Cards, no). :eyepatch:
