Yes, of course. Casinos are all about reducing labor costs especially in NJ where labor doesn't come all that cheap. They don't even have to buy the machines, they just lease them.
The only problem is, I think they might be starting to saturate the slot market. Machines don't make any money if no one is playing them. Same for BJ tables, but as we know the tables in AC are usually packed full, while slots never are.
