Best Count for Double Deck vs 4&6 Deck?

#1
I live in Vegas and have been playing 4 & 6 deck games where DAS, DOA, Late Surrender, Resplit Aces, Split up to 4 times. H17/S17(Depends on the game I'm playing). Bet spreads are not a problem because it's $10-$3000, $25-$5000 or $100-$10000.
I've been simply using the Hi-Lo count.

I've been wanting to start to play double decks since there's a few good games I feel are better and I've heard you don't have to spread your bets as big. What is the best counting system for a double deck where the rules are DAS, DOA, Split up to 4 times, Resplit Aces, S17, No Surrender. Also some index numbers accompanying the system would help because I haven't been able to find any except ones that correspond to hi-lo.

Last question what bet spread would you use for the Shoe games above vs. the double deck game described? I'm not sure if my betting is optimal.

Thanks for the reply, but it didn't fully answer my question. What is a good bet spread for a 6 deck that has H17, DAS, Late Surrender, resplit aces. and a 2 deck that has S17, DAS, No Surrender, resplit aces.
Also it just says what counting attributes to look for like B.C. and P.E. Not an actual system for 2 deck. Also strategy indexes I could only find that correspond to hi-lo counting.

That depends on how much Wonging you are doing. For a play-all situation you would probably want at least a 1:16 spread. If you are Wonging out during negative counts then you can get away with around a 1:8 spread. If you are aggressively backcounting then a 1:4 spread might even be enough. It all depends on your playing strategy.

A good play-all spread is between 1:6 and 1:10. It will depend on how much you think you can get away with in a particular casino and, again, what your playing style is.

The “best” system will be the strongest system that you can use without having to concentrate too hard. Most people start with something simple like KO or HiLo. Once they get a feel for casino play and what style of play they will be using they sometimes upgrade to a more powerful system after they have enough experience, but often they stick with the simple systems because of the simplicity and speed with which they can play.

There is a good comparison of systems here:

Once you decide on a system you can use some of the tools in the thread above to get the strategy indices.

Play-all 1:16 in a shoe game in a high-limit room... not like I've ever played in a high limit room, but I'd recommend being careful about it.

Ian Anderson's "Ultimate Gambit" tops out at 2x9 units, and that's only after "chipping up" from a "base big bet" 2x6. Of course, his playing style sacrifies emphasizes longevity at the expense of % advantage (like .7% or .8% overall advantage) and massive variance.
