Best counting system for SD H17 NDAS NS?

So... that's SD H17 NDAS NS. I'm currently playing basic indices with Hi-Lo, but if Zen or Hi-Opt II works better, how much? I am trying to decide if I should switch my play. Ultimately, I wanna settle down with a method for these conditions for a long time, so a little effort (BEFORE I try the new stuff live!) is nothing that I'll avoid. Lemme know, pro's! Tell me that my $600 can actually be $650 and I'm game.
