Big grey gizmo instead of shoe.. csm??

#1
Hi, I am new to counting and have a basic question which may seem painfully obvious to experienced players on here, but if someone could answer it I would be very grateful.

I went along to my local casino... count was practiced and ready- then i saw this grey electronic gizmo next to the dealer ( I am guessing this is one of those csm's?) There was only a 5th of the deck in the discard tray before the cards were fed into the top of the machine.

Are the cards shuffled instantly at this point? I think it was called a T6 or something. I am in England, UK

Any advice is a big help. Thanks

That's a CSM. Exactly how or when it shuffles depends on the CSM.

is it just understood these can't be beat? That sounds horrific :<

Hopefully someone has some methodology, even if they keep it private.
