is card counting possible on the blackjack machines where u deal with a virtual dealer in the clubs and casinos?? coz i've been to few of the clubs in australia with those machines and i think that they can be beaten....not sure though.....
and also is there any trick for the continous shuffling machines?

are u sure regarding this...i mean for both of 'em.......the CSM and the blackjack machines......coz someone else told me that many of the machines can be beaten

then is there any other way by which they can be beaten...i mean the machines......do they really shuffle the virtual deck that quick??

Probably it's just a computer program that deals each hand out of a new shoe. So, yes, they can shuffle that quickly.

The newest generation machines, like the ones in Wynn, have a shuffle every few rounds. But they don't say how many decks they are dealing.

but if four or five people group together and play against the house on the same machine which deals atleast 5 players at a time......then it is quite possible to beat them....isin't it?

Nope. And why worry about it, if you're grinding for a tiny advantage with 5 people? Why not go play a bad 8 deck game and get 10 times better EV?

They also, in general don't tell you when they are starting a new deck.

Just a general question for anyone - say I knew for a fact an electronic machine was shuffled at 2/3rds and knew the number of decks in the game too but I couldn't tell when the re-shuffle occurs.

Could I enter the game at any time (it might have just been shuffled, it might be shuffled next hand, the count could be extreme at the time etc) and start at RC 0 and go back to 0 every time I had seen 2/3rds of the number of total cards had been dealt?

Or could I potentially be screwed forever?

you would have been screwed as soon as you started counting a machine
as it is possible to maybe... thats a big maybe... count a single hand you will never get any advantage

play any other shoe game they would all be better

Card counting works because it gives you information about the cards remaining to be played in the shoe. Since you never know where you are in the shoe, I don't see how it could work.

Well, under the theory an unseen card is an unseen card, I was thinking maybe it wouldn't matter when the shuffle actually occurs since I'd always reset back to 0 after every, say, 208 cards of the 312 they are dealing and that it would all average out. Like I'd be using a different 6 decks than he was. So say I enter as it happens with 1 of 6 decks gone after a shuffle. To me the count would be neutral now since I haven't seen any cards. He deals 3 decks and actually reshuffles since he has now dealt 4 of 6. I've seen 3 out of 6 decks at that point. He deals 1 more deck after his actual shuffle. Now I've seen 4 decks and begin at RC 0 again. Like we're both "reshuffling" every 208th card - it's that his 208 cards before re-shuffling are different than mine.
Just thinking out loud I guess since I'm not sure I'm thinking at all lol.

Toaster - u miss my point. Assume this machine will always re-shuffle at 2/3.

you are right i just looked over that
the problem is you would never know when it was a new shoe or when it was shuffled
the other thing is you wont find a machine like that anywhere they are all just randomly generated every couple hands if not every hand
if you like counting machines get casino verite :joker:

but really id stay away from it if you plan on counting all it would be good for is practice going through the counts

actually i know of a joint that has one where the machine claims to shuffle after 2/3 of the pack has been dealt. as i recall they also claim it's six decks.
