Blackjack Magazines?

#1
Is there any good Blackjack Magazines that are recommended? I think All In had a Blackjack section. I know there are tons for Poker (Bluff, etc.) but are there any for Blackjack?

Also can it be said that Blackjack is more profitable due to the fact there is a correct play every time? Where as poker (Holdem) you are playing based on reads, bluffs, all ins etc)

Thanks for any info

No. There are no BJ Mags.

Years ago there were at least three published for consumption by A.P.'s

The best was Blackjack Forum a quarterly published by Arnold Snyder, the author of Blackbelt in Blackjack.

I would call them Pamplets, not magazines. Midwest players is a magazine.;)

The market for magazines

The traditional magazine is dying. Even women's publications that had 200+ pages of high priced ads no longer have this revenue. The internet is killing the old fashioned magazine quickly.
Even in the good old days of print publications, a blackjack magazine aimed at AP's would have a very limited audience and a much smaller ad base. A few sellers of books or videos or training programs might run ads but the big players in gambling like HET or MGM forget it.

So, newsletters and forums which can exist on no or very limited ad revenue and can be delievered easily over the internet are what can be effectively offered.

Blackjack tournaments are an exception here because the casino promoter will make his money from entry fees and an AP tournament player is using advantage over other players and not over the house.

Can't remember Arnold ever getting around to charging me for ads in Blackjack Forum. An old story. I once wanted to run an ad in BJF. I called Arnold and got his wife. Now Arnold is famous for not returning calls. Always too absorbed in a project. So, I asked her to write him a note to call me and tape it to his forehead so he wouldn't forget. I didn't get the ad in that issue. Three months later, before the next issue, I got a call. Arnold said "I just found this note taped to my forehead."
