Blackjack with Jokers?

#1
Hello, i am new to this Forum, i have been reading alot on Blackjack over the past few days. So i thought now would be a good time to interact, over here in California there is a Casino that has jokers in the deck, the jokers now turn what ever hand you have into an automatic 21. im pretty sure all the other cards are in the deck, and it looks to be a 6 deck shoe, assuming there are 2 jokers for each deck, but not for sure...

how would this mess with the odds, i am assuming it would change it in favor of the dealer or they wouldn't do it. i have only played 3 hands there, to try and figure out what was going on, and i didn't like it. ...

oh yeah i almost forgot what i hated the most, they charge 1$ each hand, i know there is a $10 min, but i don't know what the max is.

This game is quite different than normal blackjack. See the link below for the rule changes and BS:

In any case the $1 commission makes it unplayable for most people.

Thanks Sonny, i have been there once before and the table was completely full, i just can't stand to play a buck a hand. im assuming the max would have to be pretty high to account for losing a buck each time.

Question

Is that the custom in California, charging a fee per hand I mean? If so, is it usually $1.00 per hand? Here in Washington that would go over like a lead balloon.

This is the only Casino that i have been to that chargers per hand, that is the main reason that i do not go there, they don't even have a regular blackjack table at all.

in northern California where i am from, all the indian casinos do not charge per hand at all, i just think because we are in the bay area and there is a high concentration of people they can get away with doing so.

Hello Austin

I guess if the dumbasses keep sitting down and PAYING a dollar a hand just to be ALLOWED to play then the casino will keep charging them.

What that casino really needs is to find itself absolutely empty and then smell the coffee.

It used to be very common, but now that most places are house-banked games they have gotten rid of the commissions. I think the $1 fee was only for player-banked games.

What do the jokers do for the dealer? Do they give him an automatic 21 also?

If you have a joker in the first two cards then I would double down every time.
