Brisbane and GC casinos

#1
Hi

I am going to Brisbane and Gold Coast in the new year for a holiday.
Can anyone tell me if shoe games are available there?

Any information about the rules and playing conditions would be much appreciated.

I am a BS player to date but just learning and practicing card counting. Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Thanks and wish you all a prosperous New Year.

Shoe games are available at all casinos in their VIP rooms.

If you dont have the money to get into the VIP room at Jupiters I would give it a miss until you do. When you get there you will not find many tables and the min will be 50 or 100 dollars.

This means you bankroll will have to be high, like 100,000.

I would practice all the skills on Casino Verite BJ v5 until you are fast and competent using the Illustrious 18 at least.

After 200 hours of practice I will still consider yourself a novice.

Then go to a casino which has a table with good rules, less decks and a 25 minimum.

If you dont know what you're doing you can set yourself up for a fall.

Thanks for your post.

So there are no shoe games on ground floors at any of these two casinos?

How much buy-in you need to get into the VIP room? Any anyone (with enough cash) can get in or just by invitation?

Any info on no of decks and pen? Thanks.

10k minimum, preferably sent in advance, otherwise (never tried this btw) be very well dressed, sign up for thier vip card hand over the wad of cash or there abouts.

dont even think about doing this until you are well versed, and as Charles says, get in high hundreds and hundreds of hours first, or you will burn your bridge, and as an aussie we dont have that many bridges to burn.

Yeh, Like Ringy says, ten grand cash gets you in the door of the HR room at Jupiters Cold Coast, (if you pass visual and ID inspection.) There you'll find 6decks BJ, double 9-10-11 only, S17, 75%pen, hand-shuffled shoes, OBO and strong heat. Probably $100 min and $5000 max, but sometimes $50 min, $2000 max. Only the brave, foolish, reckless or accomplished try it there. Good luck.;)

Many thanks champs.

I really am a novice card counter. Will take your advice and keep on practising.

I am off for a NYE in the city now. StarCity is definitely not on the agenda.

Until next time HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010 to you all.

Cheers.

Hi I am also down here for the holiday season if you head down to Sydney to Star city it is all continuous shuffle machines minimum is 10 dollar tables but there is only ONE so if you go be prepared to wait.

Also the rules are different they stand on 17 so make sure to look over the strategy as it changes a little bit!
