This needs some discussion. The house give the players the option for Insurance or even money because they win 70% of the bets. Would it be a good idea to make a practice of buying a persons blackjack at even money. Do you think the casinos, would let you do it, more than once?

What you might be able to do is give the guy with the blackjack even money (so if he made a $50 bet you'd give him $50) then if the dealer doesn't have a blackjack he would give you whatever the payout was (so in this case $75). That way he'd still get his even money and you'd make $25 profit.

Most casinos will let you, but it's a bad move. You are taking money away from the casino and will call too much attention to yourself.

If it is a friend you might get away with it, but with a civilian the casino will probably stop you right away. But what the hell, you can give it a try. If the civilian balks you might even offer them $51 for their BJ since you are now giving them more than the casino will.

If it's a ten dollar hand, is it even worth it? There are 13 possibilities.
Lets say you buy 13 hands, for $130. The dealer won't have BJ 9 times for a payout of $135. Is it worth it?

Here are the numbers. Only 30.76% of the cards are 10's. What ever the bet is, the dealer will only have a BJ 31% of the time. If the bet is $10 and you buy 10 bets, it will cost you $200 ($10 for the bet/$10 for even money). The dealer will have a BJ 3 times and you will push the bet and get your $10 back ($30). You will win 7 times (7x$25= $175). At the conclusion of the 10 bets, you will be up $5.
To answer your question, Is it worth it? It's up to you but remember, if you don't take Even money on your blackjacks, your are already doing this. It just takes longer to get 10 blackjacks. If you don't take even money on your hand as a general rule, you will push 3 out of 10, win 7 out of 10 for the same $105.
If you chose to buy the hands of other players, all you would be doing is speeding up the process.

Now let's face it. If they would let you sell the Insurance, you could win a lot more.
