card sequencing

I sequence and the methods I use are ploppy-neutral. But all I'm really doing is just predicting the next card out of the shoe, haven't tried any steering yet. It seems impractical.
I agree that steering is impratical for most players. But without steering, how do you make sure you're getting your target cards? Unless you can steer those target cards to yourself, you will just be predicting when the ploppies will get your aces. Do you bet on their spots when you expect those aces?

Sometimes! My home store allows backline betting, and if I predict a hard hit on an ace it's usually worth the risk. (For example, a double-key ace, or two or more different single-key aces.)

But usually I'm just predicting my own ace and betting accordingly. Working the 10's into the equation helps a lot too.

By the way, if you have Casino War dealt near you these techniques are even more powerful! Even a ploppy can't screw up an ace in Casino War. Less variance too.
