On another note , I sat down at the next table with my last $75 . The dealer gave all 3 players and himself a 10-4 . Then on the next hand 2 more 10-4's . 6 out of 8 hands were a 10-4 . What's up with that !
You're name is well suited for your style. You like to investigate weird casino happenings.

"The truth is out there!" :)

How do you think you were cheated? Somehow the cards were prearranged in the shoe? If you think this is the case try one of two things, leave or play two hands. If the cards were actually prearranged they probably didn't take into account you would start playing two hands at some point!
They dont usally prearrange cards. The usual way is probably to hold a certain card to make the dealer get a good hand. Or to hold a big card to make the player bust.

This would involve dealing seconds, or dealing the second card in the shoe, holding the top card for whatever purpose.

For example if the dealer had a 10 showing and they knew they had a 5 in the hole, as soon as a 6 comes up in the shoe they could hold it and give it to themselves to make 21. Or if the dealer has a 10 and you have a stiff they could hold a 10 for you, knowing that you will take a hit.

I'm not sure , The mechanic sounded possible. I really posted to see how unlikely that variance would be. I originally thought some of the high cards were replaced with 4's and 5's .

Were you flat-betting or spreading your bets? What were you betting? How many hands did you play?

It sounds very unlikely sure, but of all the thousands of gamblers in vegas at this moment, it is actually quite likely that one of them is going through what you just went through. So for you individually, it is quite rare for this to happen, but out of all the gamblers in vegas, it is not that uncommon. You just happened to be the poor guy that had the terrible run.

If you want to check, you can watch the dealer in question without even playing. It wont cost you anymore more money to investigate, just watch him deal and see how everyone does.
Thank you , I answered all those questions in the original post .

Would they hold the card in there hand or do it some other way ? I did see them take a burn card , put it back in the deck and replace it with another one the time they switched dealers .

You were up $25 per hour for ten hours which is a good win for flat betting $15 per hand. You need to work on having a realistic expectation for a $400 bankroll. We've all done it, just try not to make that mistake again. Realisticly you should have be down 5 units of $15 or $75 in total for 10 hours of play.
I know I could have lost $400 easy flat betting with B.S . I didn't think It was likely on 1 shoe .

Spill a drink on the table should solve your problem....lol
You know , I didn't read about that trick until I got home but I would've done that . If it was a rigged deck then I'm sure they have more out back .

I don't really know how to calculate probabilities or standard deviations but I tried anyway and I got the probability of that happening to be 1 in 20,000 but then when I calculated the standard deviation I found it was still within one standard deviation. These can't both be right.

Thank you, How easy would it be for them to use that mechanic trick ? I was just reading about some other peoples losing streak's . I think casino cheating in is more common then people think ....

If you met with a dealer who was that good of a card mechanic (in the magic world we refer to them as 'Finger Flickers') that he could pull outs, side-steals, dealing seconds and bottoms while holding multiple finger-breaks AND stealing peeks etc. routinely, then I feel for him. If he's THAT good he could be making a whole LOT more money on the Ren Faire circuit as a magician than as an hourly casino employee! (Or, he didn't date much in high school!):joker:

Someone like that would not be paid the same as an ordinary card dealer . I believe every casino has 1 ....

What are the odds of that? You must have been cheating

That's what I was thinking . Either that or shuffling a good dealer deck so it stays the same . The dealer/shuffler seemed very fast and experienced . If David Blane can make ace cards come out of someone's ass then the possibilities are endless .

I know I should have lost that money in 10 hours of play but I lost it in 20 minutes . I thought the odds of that were very low !
The odds of you making that amount in 20 minutes are also very low, but you've done it right? I play at Foxwoods all the time, and if you've seen how much I have won and have lost in one shoe (approximately 20 minutes) you'd foul yourself. There is no intentional blackjack cheating by the house at Foxwoods.

Here's why I doubt any cheating:

1) It's Foxwoods
2) You were betting $15 a hand

Just not worth it to them.

Nice score on the scratch ticket, though.
