Casino takes card-counting case to Indiana Supreme Court

I frequent GVC. I normally count, but the tables were so packed I just decided to play a negative progressive system. I got to my $90 hand, (I bet $100 because I did not want to ask for change)

The dealer said "Jim confirm play, Jim! Jim!" He comes over and watches, A-10! He laughed and went on about his business. Then a while later I played a $275 hand, split my 8's against the dealers 6 while Jim was watching, 18 on both and won both. Jim said to me, "You ever play the black jack machines?" while pointing to the electronic dealer games, I said "Never, I prefer to play out of a shoe." He said, "Well if youre counting, you wont be counting long" LOL it really made my night.

I only ended up winning about 600 that night. It wasn't a bad night for not counting.

I'm curious what the # of players on the table had to do with your decision to count cards vs. use a progressive system? Too hectic?
