Prettier cards.

I'm serious.

I think the animation of the cards doesn't have any sense of perspective when they're being flipped over, so it's kind of awkward and goofy looking. A turnoff to people raised on video games.

I know that programming a 3D graphics engine probably isn't your forte, but I just had to go ahead and mention it.

(I might know a couple of guys who would be interested in working on it, though).

Howdy Norm... CVData: The side-bets need a % House Advantage readout. EV is nice, but we'd like to see what the HA is on that side-bet during count indexes.

Not sure if theres an update already, but CVData doesn't show an option for "Player BlackJack wins" which I think is common in Sp21 and 6:5 or 7:5 versions. The latter should be VERY close to the standard payoff and rules. This option is in CVBJ.

Since Vista was ARPITA, is there any chance for a Linux version? One of the 'Buntu's would be sufficient.
The Custom Side Bet stats screen gives the EV (same as house edge) for each count. and for all counts.

There are Tied BJ wins and Tied BJ loses options on the Payoffs screen. These were added in the middle of V4 and a free update is available.

Sorry, no Linux. It would take over a year.

Norm, a few request for CVData (like everyone else, i love the current product but we always want more dont we :whip:):

1. have strategy tables/indices exportable to excel or csv instead of just printable
2. maybe this is just me, but when you generate reports/go to print out a strategy table, the few reverse indices (ie split when less than, etc) are not denoted at all, just an index shows up with no "*" or something like that to indicate that it is a reverse index number and someone reading the printed table will see the reverse indices look exactly like a regular index.
3. again maybe just me, but i never get the 8,8 vs 10 reverse index to generate properly in RA mode - im sure there must be some RA index to not split 8's v 10. in every RA case i've ever generated, it's always came up "never split 8's" without fail and i just dont believe if you are RA you should not split 8's. maybe im wrong here?
4. allow RA generation of index tables for all rule sets at the same time - currently when generating the usual EV-maximizing indices, you have the option at the lower right hand side to generate H17/S17, DAS/NoDAS, etc. However once you click the box to generate "Risk Averse" indices, all those options at the bottom right become unchecked and only the indices for the specific rule set specified are generated. I really just want to be able to "set it and forget" when generating RA indices to generate indices for all combinations of rules with one click, just like you can in EV-maximizing mode.

Thanks!

1. Might be an issue with copyrights. I'll think about it.
2 & 3. I'll look at reverse indexes. Could be a problem.
4. This is on my list. It's a pain as the pre-sim must be repeated for each rule set.

not sure if this would work for you in CVData and maybe you already know this. but anyway like for CVBJ you can tell your logs to print in html and then copy them from html and then paste into excel. it's a bit tedious but works ok.
Actually it's easier to go to Excel.

gatherer for the time being you could port from your logs the hands of the last shoe to excell and then graph as desired.
Porting of logs to Excel will be supported. I need to add the shoe logic.

QFIT it would be cool in CVBJ if you could bet totally by keyboard only if desired. i know you can rebet by key stroke. thing is sometimes using the mouse to set bets after playing a lot your mouse hand gets fatiqued.
oh also could it be a way to use keystrokes with out having to press the ALT key? where i think sometimes you have to use the ALT key and others you don't?
also anyway to make cassie look like in this post?

Two ways to do this. 1.) hit B once for each unit. 2.) Turn on Keypad Betting on the environment screen. To bet, click the + key on the keypad and a box pops up. Use the keypad to type in the bet and enter to deal. If you have no keypad, it will probably work on the keyboard.

I used to do a 3D deal. Removed it as I preferred the current version. The problem is the use of a 3D graphics engine doesn't mix well with the realistic looking shoe and discard tray.

awesome, thanks. as for #1 - what if you allow exporting of just user-generated index tables to excel/csv (as opposed to the published count system tables)?

I thought he was asking for nudes on the card backs?
If he is not then I am:joker::whip:

Don't need full nude just cute outfits will do. It's called incentive to practice. I think Qfit would want us to acutally use the program in order to get full value:joker::whip:

Problem is you can create a user strategy from a canned strategy

when any idea when the new version is to come out?

(I need to upgrade from 3 and I thought .. should I wait till 5 comes out or upgrade to 4?)

would the cost of upgrading from 3 to 5 or from 4 to 5 be reduced from the full price of the software?

Sorry, I never really have any idea. I hope to get V5 out soon. But I tend to get sidetracked with other projects.

I would like to see 21+3 added as a side bet, with stats (# of matches, ratios of remaining suits, etc.)

Also I would love to order a large box of nicely designed business cards referring people to qfit.com, that I could hand out to ploppies!

CVBJ and BJA3 I think have been 2 of the best investments in BJ I have ever made, and I use CVBJ for practice and reference quite often. I can't believe a poster months ago tried to get a "bootleg" copy! Your products are worth every cent and more, and your availability in the BJ community is commendable!
