Only BJ in the NYC area is in illegal casinos, mostly Russian mob joints.
You need to go to Mohegan Sun,Foxwoods or Atlantic City to play in a legal casino.

There are a couple of casino cruises out of Freeport. One is not worth playing at all, the other is marginally worth playing.

Forgot about the ships. I think there is only one out of Freeport these days. There was one out of brooklyn and one out of Bay shore, but I'm not sure they still go out daily.

Anyone ever play private joints? I would think they are open to a lot more advantage plays, just wouldn't want to press my advantage for too long depending on who was running it. I hear of poker houses getting broken up once in a while but that's about it.

No way. Besides safety issues, cheating would concern me.

I'd consider it at my level, only problem is you can't guarantee these people are going to pay you at a higher level. Could be a burn joint too.

I used to play regular BJ at a place on CIA,but stopped when too many winners were getting mugged.
Now that they have switched to a quirky little game that guarentees the house 5% of all action, the muggings have pretty much stopped.

Coney Island Avenue- heart of the Russian community in Brooklyn.
OK, gotcha. I know the area a bit. My grandparents lived not far from there.

I was thinking Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, but that didn't make sense.

Don't know about NYC, but my brother was arrested when a private poker joint in the Wash DC area was raided.
