Churning a non cashable chip without playing

Not that I'd be interested in doing this for real, but I would be curious as to how it can be done.

Grosjean states in this article:

http://www.beyondcounting.com/pdfs/beyondcouponsbjfo.pdf (Archive copy)

At the end of page 8, he says there are at least 3 ways to churn these chips without playing.

I can think of one:
Go up to a table where people are playing and ask them to give you checks and have them bet the non-cashables. In any decent size casino, there is a 100% chance you can find someone willing to do this free of charge.

In reality, I wouldn't try to do anything like that, because not can I not be bothered to do **** like that to save amounts < $10, doing things like that can get you kicked out. Not to mention if I get non-cashable chips (which i have NEVER received so far), it's probably at a joint where I've been APing and will continue to AP, so I can just use them just like the other checks i'm betting.

What are the other ways to do it?

Presumably it'd be things you wouldn't do in practice since it's either not worth it or heat seeking

Hell, even if I get cashable checks for a promotion i play a little bit (I usually give back 1 - 2% of it in action) before walking away.

This reminds me of a funny instance at a local NA casino. When you join their player's club, they make you spin a wheel to win some introductory prize. I won $10 free slot play.

They gave me a signed piece of paper and advised me to go get my freeplay from the cashier. I got a slot ticket from the cashier, which they stamped with "cannot be cashed" writing on top.

I go to a machine, insert the ticket, and hit the cashout button immediately to get a crystal clean, nice piece of $10 ticket that is perfectly cashable at the cashier :) I wish promotional chips/matchplays were this easy to convert to cash.

Wow, now that's pretty dense. Most places nowadays have slot machines that track free-play and cashable credits seperately, and the machine won't let you cash out free play credits.

Not to mention that in your particular case, if they had those cash out MACHINES, you could probably stick it right in and that thing isn't gonna read the stamp.
