Circus Circus:rude dealer

I was using a coupon at a blackjack game here tonight. The coupon is in the Circus Circus funbook: a ten dollar bet is fifteen if it wins.
Anyway, I have practically no experience at single and double-deck games, so I'm not used to handling cards. Anyway, the dealer was extremely rude saying :"Don't do that! This isn't poker." He didn't say "please" or "sir"--just a moron with a mouth.:mad:
Then I walked over to Wynn where I was well-treated and had a profitable night in their poker room.:)
Is it any wonder Circus Circus is going down the tubes?

You will always run into rude dealers, just leave their tables, unless,,,and never tip them,,,and also give them a piece of your mind at the right time.

Also do not hesitate to make a comment to the pit about them as you are leaving the table.

Customer service is gone...

Customer service these days is gone. In this case I'd imagine the dealer was frustrated by explaining to ploppies 600 times per shift how a pitch game works. Tuck your cards, scrape your cards, flip your cards etc. I've seen allot of dealers get upset with players that don't understand how to play a pitch game. This doesn't condone or excuse rude dealers though. My favorite line is "if you hate your job this much why don't you quit? Burger King is hiring." I'd also venture a guess that dealer tokes have gone down hill with the economy thing and bad games. That is frustrating the edgy dealer even further. You'd think they would be trying to enjoy themselves as well just to make the day go faster and possibly increase tips. People are strange...MM:cool:

That's his JOB. Explaining to the ploppies how the game is played is a big part of a dealer's responsibility. And yes, I agree with you that a lot of them don't like that part of it, but plenty still do.

Usually if you get bad service at a business you take your business elsewhere. But since we are card counters, it would punish Circus Circus more if you stayed there and spread 1-20.

Heh. I love when counters get pissed off at a place, and they're like "f__ this place, I'm never gonna come back here!" Which, of course, is GOOD for the casino in question.

I've gotten pissed off at places. I never said I'm never gonna go back.

It just gives me more satisfaction when I beat their game.

I got yelled for the same matter by a dealer at Harrah's in LV. Being from the east coast, I have never played double deck before. (In AC, you never need to hold your cards.) The dealer yelled at me because I held my cards like portraits while everyone else holding them like landscapes.

When first began playing double deck, the dealer first chided me for holding the cards in two hands, then for bending the cards when I put them under my chips as directed. Every once in a while I will instinctively put both hands on the cards, then it hits me like a flash and I quickly switch to one hand before they can pipe in.
