I am going skiing in March and want to hit a casino outside of Denver. Are there bet max's I need to know about and/or funky/stupid double down/split rules?:eyepatch:

Outside of Denver...Blackhawk and Central City I think are the two you would be interested in. My information indicates just the $5 table maximum...that's right MAXIMUM. If you're playing for fun, that should be okay for flat betting...just don't expect to get rich there.

I know of no funky table rules that you wouldn't find in other casinos (such as KC). They might have some side bets but I haven't heard about them.

Blackhawk/Central City a few good places to practice counting. I've played at the Isle of Capri which is fairly new, the dealers are fair but the tables get crowded with bad players. A flat bet of $5 is all that is allowed. The Canyon Casino has 6 decks hand shuffle $3-$5 dollar bet pays 3to2 BJ and has a nice table area very small 4 tables. Fitzgeralds has 6 decks hand shuffled 3to2 BJ and $5 flat bet. The Fitz has alot of drunks on the weekends and is very smokey and the tables are crowded with alot of slots and high traffic area. The Lodge is quite nice and the dealers are friendly especially if you tip. I've seen burn cards and been offered good advice (which I didn't need) but it is always good to act inexperienced. The Lodge has a good table area not smokey, no traffic or gawkers. 6 deck machine shuffled $5 flat bt.

The casinos offer the extra 4 circles for betting on win streaks it starts out paying 8 to 1, up to 32 to 1 for 5 winning hands in a row. I don't recommend the Mountain High except for slots.
