Continuous Shuffler Making Gambling Hard

Hey guys.

I am an 18 year old in Michigan, and the only casino that is reasonably close to me is an Indian Casino called "Soaring Eagle", and unluckily for me it uses Continuous Shufflers.

Now I have read 5 or so books on blackjack and know Basic Strategy down to the letter, but everything I've learned about counting I cant use.

So I went out and bought Avery Cardoza's "Casino Blackjack for the Non-Counter" hoping that would help me, but his system is basically card counting because he says bet more when there are Big cards left and less when there are small cards.

So, my question is, until I am older and can gamble somewhere else, am I doomed to just using basic strategy?

Thanks so much!

Cardoza's books are crap.

There are a couple of good games in Trav City for you. They are 6D games with late surrender. I have no idea what the age limit is there. There are also a lot of very good games up on the UP.

I don't know about how casinos handle it,but in NY using a false ID for purposes of obtaining liquor is handled quite severely.
1) you lose your right to drive until you are 21
2) you lose your right to state aid for college, forever.
3)you can be barred from many municipal jobs-policeman,fieman,emt,ect,ect for five years.
I'd check both local laws and casino policies first

DP12 if you don't mind me asking where do you live? I'm pretty sure the casinos in Detroit are all 21 min. But if not too far you can gamble in Canada at 18 or 19 depending on the province. Ontario it is 19 and there are casinos in Windsor across from Detroit and in Sarnia. The northern penisula of Michigan has about 9 casinos. That's probably pretty far to go though and I don't know if any of them have CSM's. Other than that you are just out of luck. If really desperate you could always try a constitutional challenge that the casinos are descriminating against you based on age. I know this sounds rediculous plus it would cost a small fortune and by the time it got through the courts you would be well into your twenties.
