CSMs - Another Game Entirely

#1
Hoping to start a discussion here about how CSMs are really a specialized BJ game in themselves. I think a lot of the divergence in our discussions here, a lot of the disagreements, might come from the different styles of games we play, including, in my case, how one focuses their game to win against something like CSMs.

The few times I've played single or double deck or non CSM I've been stunned at how much easier the game is. Even so I still have been managing to come out ahead against these CSM beasts, just not as dramatically. I think that's because of making slight modifications in my strategy tables and betting strategies.

Anybody else?

PS: I just saw the thread in "Voodoo" section about "You Can Beat CSMs".
Just to be sure and clear, I'm actually looking for a good, informative discussion here.

Just to be clear, versus a CSM there is no way to get an edge playing blackjack with the typical U.S. rules. The house edge, in effect, is fixed and relatively constant.

You*might* be able to get an overall edge if you have something special going on. An example would be some sort of cash rebate or convertible comps or coupons based on the fact that the casino expects to win 1.5% from a typical patron and you're only losing at the lower perfect basic strategy rate.

If you are in Europe the rules are often such that a positive expectation can be achieved just playing basic strategy. Couple this with rebates or other such things and CSM's could be more profitable than in the U.S.

With the CSM the casino is telling you that they have no interest in you winning, or even having a chance, and that they fear even moderate skilled players,,,in essence you are a mark to them,,,a, sucker. (And they are greedy evil pigs).

Now if you want to reward them for their attitude toward you and play their CSM,,,well I guess you like being dissed and used, and abused,,,and you will deserve the end result.

CSM's are played by the truly ignorant and addicted gambler, and as I pass by those tables each player at them disgusts me.

Would you be willing to divulge what you do differently when you play against a CSM??
