I find it annoying, and wonder if others do, as well. So, I created a poll. If majority agrees with me, I respectfully ask Flash to stick with the defaults for text.

I think I'm on the fence on this one.

If any portion of peeps here are annoyed, I will certainly tone it down.

Note: I did not say that I would eliminate it completely.

I am willing to compromise of course.

Is the formatting of this post acceptable?

While I do not actually comprehend what it is about formatted text that is objectionable, I keecanp my text size and bold-facing to a minimum.

Flash dont worry about it keep it however you want. you respond to topics with insight and knowledge. Dont you need the big font and color because you cant see well?

How does the size and colors of the fonts he posts affect his ability to read them? My mother is legally blind, and her computer is set so large that you need to move the screens to read full sentences. Her emails come in regular sized.

Flash, just wouldn't be Flash without the large text. It's part of the act.

Attention Flash: if the poll results ultimately spell your doom, do NOT change your text size: it's a classic. Instead, use reverse psychology.

Remember when the research proved New Coke to be the correct move in '84.

I couldn't have said it any better.

Why change a good thing?

Why conform?

doesn't bother me, especially since one reason he does it, is because of having some vision limitations. at my age i can relate to that.:(

All BS aside, I enjoy his post, and think "he is who he is" and think hes made a name for himself. Sometimes you have to do something different to stand out from the norm.

If that's the case, I apologize. However, that doesn't make sense to me, as if he's reading everyone else's posts, why does what he types need to be enlarged?

I don't like it for 2 reasons:
1. More scrolling to read his posts than all the others
2. It makes me think he thinks his posts are more important than everyone elses, though he's apologized for errors plenty of times (and usually in the default type size.)

Flash's Posting Habits

I have only been posting here for a few months but I have been following this forum for a year and a half. I consider myself a veteran counter, I feel I am well read and a student of the game on top of that I have had success at the tables. I am, no bones about it, not a professional, I play 300-500 hrs/yr.

I truthfully have no problem with Flash posting in caps. All should be aware that font, in place of a voice, induce tone. If the voice did not make errors I would not have a problem with the tone, caps induced, is typically condensending and know-it-all.

I would and I probably speak for others would never jump on Flash if his posts were not ripe with error. For Flash is someone who is not a beginner and not asking questions on how to become a better player. Flash, I am sure is an experienced player and not only wants to show off how much he knows but is very willing to pass it on.

Therefore, if he wants to help people like his cronies have stated, he should be 100% accountable and not mislead those he tries to help. I can think of three completey erroneous posts he has made.

1) No ES in Canada
2) Canadian Casinos do not have a right to tresspass players.
3) The tie bet in baccarat cannot be beat with counting.

Another point he made regarding an advanced technique by piggybacking on a player with a small bet and actually buying his bet to make an index play. I can see some strength in this but there was no expanding on the idea, therefore not helping anyone, such as myself, who is not a pro but a veteran and would love to learn something new that may add something viable to my arsenal.

Yes he does apologise or backtrack or be high on drugs when he writes these but he is still wrong and the many rookie or wannabe AP's should know that these posts are wrong regarless of the reason they were posted.

I cannot pass a fault and I do not think a forum like this should give someone a license to post wrong info that is not "jumped al over" regarless of the mental state, font, experience level etc.

So I vote for the caps to stay for personality sakes or whateve, but I will not stop calling him out on his posting that are wrong.

Doesn't bother me at all but it does make me wonder if he also writes/types in large letters in other forms of correspondence (e-mail, love letters) or stuff like grocery lists ;) Also makes me wonder if he's a really loud cell phone talker

Flash does publish some erroneous information or exaggerated stories, I think that bothers me much more then his large font.
