Fair or Unfair?

Sadly, gamecounter, you have to consider what your time is worth, and how much of it you're willing to devote to trying to get back $2,000 that the casino certainly took from you wrongly. Also, if you are not able to handle the matter unassisted, and want to retain a lawyer, I think that it's very, very unlikely that you'll find one willing to take on a $2,000 case, that will be bitterly contested, on a contingent fee basis. You are also looking at a filing fee and other costs of suit, if litigation is needed.

If the gambling regulators in your jurisdiction furnish any effective remedy, you may be able to pursue it cheaply, and without it being as much of a hassle as suit.

Either way, by taking action you will positively identify yourself to the casino, and maybe others with which it shares information, as having a brain, which you may consider disadvantageous.

The longer you live, the more injustices you will suffer. Yeah, there are a lot of bad people out there, and they get away with a lot of theft and all sorts of other crime, and the sad truth is most of the time you can't do a damn thing about it. Short of putting out a hit on them or something, which will make you as bad as them and probably put you in prison. Just hope that they come to bad ends, which if they keep it up they usually do.
