for all counters: what is your favourite game? SD, DD or MD?

to all card counters,

what is the main game you re looking for when you walk into the casino?
single deck with double down on 10 or 11 only?
double deck with double down on any numbers and double down after split allowed?
multiple deck?

i guess for those experience counter, multiple deck is not a problem...but when double deck as mentioned above is available, you would rather to sit down on the double deck table right?

Depends where you are. I play in AC. The best I can find is a 6 deck shoe, S17,DAS, NS. Most are 8 decks with the same rules.

I like DD games just because I think they are more fun to play, but from a profitability point of view it would depend on the conditions. Assuming an honest BJ game (no 6:5, Spanish 21, SuperFun21, etc.) I would look at how the games are being played. Each of those games will require a different style of play to take full advantage of them. For example, if I can't backcount then the shoe games are out unless the shuffle is weak. If the pitch dealers are sloppy then I'll prefer those games. I might switch games as the tables get crowded too. It all depends on which game is the most vulnerable, which is a factor of the conditions not the rules.

I like double deck games. Typically you get 2x the EV of 6 or eight decks. I find 6 and 8 deck games to be boring.

I like the game with the lowest minimum.

... and I'm kind of intimidated by the play style of pitch games. I don't see what the deal is with the keeping the cards down, and the scratching, and the tucking. I mean, it's not poker!

They are scared of depth charging. If you can see everyones cards and sit at 3rd base of a full single deck table you can gain a significant advantage just using indexes.

I think everyone enjoys playing SD. It's the only form of blackjack where the advantage gets so strong you can feel it, and the N0 can be as low as 5000 hands. However except for northern Nevada SD is pretty much a novelty now. Other than SD which is in a class by itself, what game I prefer all depends on rules and pen.

I dont like pitch either. They are pretty easy to avoid though ;) It is more difficult for me to keep a accurate count. I wish the wynn would have stuck to there face up DD!

You might like pitch games better if you learned to hold card! I don't know how to either, but if I ever go anywhere where pitch games are common I definitely will...

There are hundreds of pitch games in vegas. Most of them are 6/5 single deck.

Double deck pitch

There is still plenty of double deck pitch in Vegas though not that many on the strip. Several casinos have gone to dealing double deck out of a shoe because of the fear of hole carding and some of these casinos are overly worried and also do it because of fear of card marking so they deal them up.

My advice to all (who do not hole card) is that 6/5 is not beatable, is horrible and should be avoided, but 6/5 is easily beatable if you do hole card. There are casinos where the only pitch game is 6/5, some of the dealers only do it rarely and the pit is more lax about the game. There are possibilities if you ready and search.

My favorite, the game with the sloppy dealer.
