I would be very grateful for any and all intel on Foxwoods in CT. Heat on $5-$25 tables, decks, rules, penetration or anything else you think might be useful.

Again, much obliged.

You won’t get heat playing at that level. Your main problem will be getting a seat. The $10/$15 tables are usually pretty packed, even during weekdays. When they open the second casino it gets a little better but the tables quickly fill up again. You can usually find a spot at the $25 tables and the high limit room is often empty. They’re all 8D games with DAS LS and good/decent pen depending on the dealer.

Thanks Sonny!

Anyone happen to know what Foxwoods' double-against policy is (DOA, D9, etc)? Sonny mentioned DAS but I don't think that acronym specifies which cards I can double on.

TIA,

Just as an FYI, I found the playing conditions at Mohegan a little better, 6D pen ok depends on dealer, and on weekday mornings $10 table are easy to find.

Mohegan Sun

I've not been to Mohegan Sun for a while, but if memory serves, all their games are DAS, DOA, LS, no splitting tens. During the day you can find $5 "match the dealer" tables and you don't need to take the sucker side bet, but it slows the game down. On weekend nights, its crowded, but there may be some $15 dollar tables. Most are $25.
They have 6D in the Earth Casino, 8D and CSM in the Sky Casino, and 6D in the high roller pits.
Theoretically there's no mid shoe entry but this rule is not enforced at any table $25 or below (and I've not been to any higher).
Poor but variable penetration.
I can't speak to heat as I was not counting, just using BS.

Last time I was at Foxwoods I had no heat on those low limit tables.

Interestingly, if you arrive on a Greyhound bus junket deal (I did, I was a tourist in the US and came down from New York - it was an experience...), you get some good match play coupons etc which cover the fare... just in case that's of interest.

Casino Player mag subscription has some good money off coupons for overnight stays at Foxwoods if needed, and additional match play coupons.
