 Did you move to another form of AP??
Yes. In fact, when I stopped focusing on card counting I found several forms of AP staring me right in the face. They had been in front of me (or at the table beside me) for all those years. And many of those "unplayable" local casinos that I avoided because of H17 games or bad penetration (or other silly excuses) became more profitable than I could have imagined. And once you learn a new technique (or find a new weakness in a procedure or machine) you can sometimes apply it to other games as well. I still have a lot to learn, but I've learned much more in my 3 years of non-counting than I did in my first 10 years of counting.

then lace up your sneakers and play some DD
Thinking of it.

Only hesitation:

  • Table minimum: $25
  • Table maximum: $100

1-4 is good enough to be profitable at a game with decent penetration. Alternatively, I can spread to two hands, and then back to 1 hand, and then to two hands, and then back to one hand. I am working up a flamboyant, new-age, flow-fixated ploppy act, but I'm not yet sure enough of my persona.

well put and nuff said, lol.
having caught a glimpse of perhaps some of these new forms you refer to, i know just what you are saying.
whatever, card counting is great and so much of what's 'behind' (maths & such) it is applicable to other stuff.
no throwing the baby out with the bath water or anything, but a'int it a great thing to be able to be a free thinker?

I hate DD, because you can't wong out very often unless you wish to get booted quickly.

Yes, please share, Sonny. If not possible, please give some tips on how to augment to a counter's small edge of roughly 2%.

CP
right, give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a man to fish and he eats for a life time.......

some how i seriously doubt any fish are going to be given to anyone online, ...... wouldn't want fish to go extinct, lol......
but hopefully even if fish do go extinct there will be something of value that takes their place.
so the best can be shared is learn to fish and the essence of fishing in general should fish go extinct.:whip:

I think we all go through different stages of learning. As much as you may want to learn something advanced, you might not be ready for it. If you're observant, the weaknesses of each game will appear like a solution to a puzzle. But it shouldn't be discussed on a public board. I myself am only beginning my journey into the world beyond counting. If only some how I would be granted a copy of the book. In time perhaps.

Please don't get me wrong > card counting does work .if it didn't casinos would not care . However since I am unwilling to wong it out as some of you guys suggest ,my bank roll will not. I play at a casino dealing out of a 6 deck shoe & I swear guys I do believe I lose more waiting for the right count . When it does come ,the dealer is flopping um over like crazy. A lot of times the fist deck is loaded with face cards ,so that gives me a minus count that is hard to overcome . I am going back to playing BS & money management . I will give them the .5% ,counting comps thats not bad. Now If they have a single deck game on this cruise i'm going on & they did 2 yrs back ,then of course I'm back. POGO. OH! craps don't pass ,don't come ,keep them coming ever throw of the dice & never give odds LOL
You call yourself Pogostick, and you can't handle a little up and down? zg
