Ok so pretty soon I'll finally be back in the game. With a $50 max bet, whats a good trip roll to bring with me? $1000? I was thinking 1k but I'm not too sure if it's quite the right amount.

1000 shall be pretty good.. 500 shall also work..

If it is one-day trip, then i usually carry 8times my max bet..
For weekend, 12-15max bet with bank access
For long trips, 15max bets with bank access

Not less than 30x. And if you're working with such a small bankroll, just bring all of it, so you'll be prepared if you run into an unusual opportunity.

Length of Trip is Crucial

If 1 to 2 days 50% of bank with probably easy access to more
If longer then weekend 100% of bank

If during a trip you ever get close to tapping out then next trip bring 25% more.:joker::whip:

Err on bringing to much then not enough:joker::whip:

PS- Good advice for a perfect practicing AP who BTW wouldn't be asking the question in the first place.

In order to withstand 'risk of ruin', you should have at leat 40 times the minimum bet.

Not even close  I have had 40 times my minimum bet riding on a single round before even considering splits and doubles.

I carry 100 times my average bet. But this is just me. I don't want ever to run out of money and feel sorry for myself later.
But don't think I carry around a very large sum of money with me. I don't. It is just that my average bet is very small.
