Griffin Bankruptcy? No more Griffin?

#1
I just find a September 2005 article that said Griffin investigation company filed bankruptcy. I started learning and reading about AP about three months ago, but I had read how evil Griffin is, so I was scared of finding my photo in the Griffin book for this whole time. Now, out of a sudden I figure out i scared for nothing

Is Griffin really gone for good? Without Griffin, what should card counter be aware of? like maybe be aware that the casino take photo of AP and send it to all its sister casino and other nearby casino?

The Griffin Agency is not gone for good. They filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, not Chapter 7. They are still in operation, I believe using the same small shack on Beverly Griffin’s property. I don’t know how active they are, but I’ve heard that many casino surveillance personnel hardly ever use the Griffin books.

At this point, everyone should get every single non-AP non-BJ player they know into a casino, and get them marked as a counter. If the already limping G Agency has to deal with the sudden influx of thousands of new cases, it'll break their already stretched-thin resources. Kapoof!

The vast majority of the "work" Griffin has done is just collect and re-distribute the information given them by their subscribers. So HET tells Griffin that ihate17 is a holecarder, cardcounter and pissed off the casino manager, so they also call him a cheater. All Griffin does is take that information and pass it on to other customers.
Then if ihate17 is identified in another casino, he may be blamed for cheating, the casino will show the Griffin report to gaming and a false arrest can easily come about (Ask James Grosjean)

With a staff of less than a half dozen working out of a shack in the back yard, Griffin has preyed upon the paranoia of casino managers for a long time and is still doing this, but I doubt their lack of resources can be stretched.

The thing about them is that many casinos today know that blind use of the information in the blue book can cost them a nice amount of money and no longer foolishly depend on the book. So they remain a tool of the casinos but a weakened tool. Remember the Griffin book is not the same as the State's book of excluded people.
