Griffin List

Hey Guys,

I’m relatively new here (I’ve been browsing for a while but only recently decided to make an account). I have a question though...With the griffin book once you get barred from one casino do your details get sent to the griffin book or not? And how long do you have to wait after being barred to return? (I realize that the ban is supposed to be forever but how long does it take for them to forget? Or is your picture added to a data base or something?) Sorry for the naive nature of the question it’s just something that interests me.

Thanks in advance,

Rory

I've heard that some casinos do not think the Griffin Book is so great. Don't worry about it.Welcome to the forum.

Unless you are playing a large amount of money, most generally you won't have to worry about the Griffin Book. Most of the time they will just ask you to leave and they don't want your play, so you leave and if you come back a few months later they probably won't remember you. At some point they may actually trespass you and you will not be allowed to go back in the casino and they may add you to the book at that point.

For those casinos who continue to use the book. Other's find it a failed system, and a risky one as well. Some use their own in-house system.

Why is it a risky proposition?

You do know about the Grosjean suit against Caesar's, Imperial Palace, and the Griffin Detective Agency, don't you? That is why some houses dropped Griffin's service. It was a combination of what the casinos wrongly charged Grosjean and others with and how the Griffin Agency characterized these players in their infamous book. Some casinos just do not want to be associated with Griffin any more. They keep their own in-house records on APs. This is my understanding, anyway. If you are a casino employee, or former Griffin employee, you may want to add your own point of view here.

I knew about that, I just wanted to find out more anecdotes or new angles that you may know about. Thanks.
