halves counting system

for those of you who use the halves system, how's it been in the tables?
Wong's book on halves says that it has a betting correlation of .99 and a playing efficiency of .58.
What does these numbers mean?

beting correlation means how accurate it is on your bet sizing is to your advantage. playing efficiency is how hard or easy it is to play. So it its very accurate system but hard to use.

Almost. He is right on the betting correlation, but PE is how good your playing decisions are. It has nothing to do with difficulty.

no, Playing Efficiency is how accurate it is at telling you what play to make ie hit/stand/dd/split

systems with good BC are best for multi-deck games. systems with good PE are best for SD and i think DD games. also be aware that halves isnt as good at making Insurance bets as hi-lo. hi-lo has .76 IC and halves has .72 IC. so you'll have to wait for a slightly higher TC with Halves before you bet insurance. im not sure how much effect it has on EV though.
