Hard Rock Casino BJ question

I'll be at the Hard Rock at the end of April, staying Thurs - Sunday. After comparing the Hard Rock to casinos on the strip using the BJ survey at the Wizard's web site, it looks like Hard Rock has plenty of good $5 tables with decent rules. Does anybody know if they have plenty of $5 tables on the weekends? Or do they bump their table minimums to $10 or $15?? I don't mind playing $10 or $15 tables, but the guys I'll be with are low rollers.

Also, what are the chances of them opeining up new $5 or $10 BJ table for us if they have an empty table and there are 6 of us wanting to sit down and play??

If anybody has stayed or played there in the last few months, I would appreciate any recommendations or comments.

By the way, I use KO and spread $10 to $100 when playing 6 decks. I only go to Vegas once a year with my buddies, this is my 8th trip.

I have been in the Hard Rock many times and I have yet to see a $5 table. Try one of the Stations places - Santa Fe, Sunset, or Texas - if that's what you're looking for.

Stayed there last week for super bowl. They have new tower and casino open. Older one still there too but new one seems to attract more people. No $5 tables. Most are $15-25 and some $10 during the day until early evening. If you're playing a $10 and they raise the minimum they will let you play the $10 minimum as long as you sit there. Pen set by the dealer, some good some not. Mix of 6d and 2d but believe the 2d are 6:5. Didn't play 2d so not 100% sure but most of the 2d I saw out there seems to have went to 6:5.

The $25 table I was at sure had DAS. Pen was unremarkable, but not horrible. This was in the past 14 days.

There are joints, within walking distance, of the Hard Rock, where low stakes games are too be had, even on weekends, e.g. Tropicana.
