help a noob-cmon do it, do it

gonna rattle of some thoughts and ?s - thx 4 any reply.
So im a noob. Actually farted around with hi opt 1 in the past in tahoe, las vegas but never put in effort needed.
So now Im gonna learn a new system. I have been studying the forums and reading everything you unbelievable dorks have to say about beind an AP- and I'm jelous-lol

My first concern. Kiss3 or hi lo. I played with a balanced system already and did alright truing because I primarily played 1 or 2 decks which I think makes it easier. However Im stuck in AC now so I will be starting this journey at 6 deck. Finding that true count will add a level of difficulty I could easily be convinced to avoid by learning an unbalanced (kiss). But my goal is to be out playing 2 decks in Tahoe in a year or two- so hence my concern. I read you must learn seperate indexes for 2 and 6 decks. Now I havent even read kiss yet. Will I find once I learn PRACTICE and implement 6 deck BS variations, will it be another significant learning process to switch to 2 decks? I think hi lo might be harder but overall would I be better or learning hi lo cus its the same for 2 and 6 decks? Does that make any sense?Hope so, dork-lol
True count adjustment or seperate index for 2 and 6 decks- Is kiss still easier and the way 2 go?

Another problem-my roll is pathetic- sometimes I pull it out, stare at it and laugh out loud. Anyway my plan is to learn the kiss3, practice on comp then try a 1-5 spread at the 10$ 6 deck at Borgata. I realize my edge is puny right? I will be leaving as often as possible when a shoe turns stinky. Now I think$5000 would be somewhere around what I need? I dont have it yet. Is it feasible to play 5$-30$? Do they even offer 5$ tables? I dont think so. So my question is this- If it is impossible to play anything less than a $10 table and certainly i cannot afford bigger than a 1-5 spread-It would seem that I am unable to proceed at all without a roll around $5,000 (big bet at 1% of bankroll). To attack under rolled leads to misery right?

But what if I do go out under rolled with say $2000-my risk of losing it all is great.Maybe Ill win- but if I lose it and come up with more-or add to the roll as I go(assuming it survives)- isnt this just as good? should I go out and practice or is it impossible and foolish without $5,000?

wow what a rambling idiot-thx guys

i say go for it. make sure you wong as much as possible. and once you can count properly in a casino, up your spread, irrespective of your BR. i believe that the #1 thing is to be playing a winning game, and with that spread, its pretty damn close. ppl will say the ROR is too much with an increased spread, but i say your ROR is 100% when you're playing a losing game.
now if this is a career choice for you, you probably wanna think things over, get more money etc, etc. but chances are this is gonna be fun for you, so just get out there and start playing.

Define your bankroll, and how much it would suck if you lost it. $50 big bet on a $5000 payroll is a conservative number if recreational, and fairly aggressive if sole source of income.

I also agree that avoiding negative counts is going to be the way to go.

As for the count you use... Hi-lo is just plain more common, and the best documented, which is its different advantage.

I use KO (unbalance), and playing in a 1D vs 6D game was not really that big of a switch for me... I wouldn't get too hung up on which is "optimum" for which type of game, stick with what seems like you will learn the best.

Say my bankroll really sucks. What is the difference if I go out with 300 one session. Then if I lose i come up with another 300 in 5 days time and hit it again. If I continue to just play a perfect game each session-do i need a bankroll? Doesnt this sort of mean I have a large bankroll (almost infinite) with the only drawback being I cant play constantly because I will be ruined most likely many times before i can build the roll (get lucky)

Please advise as I think I may be missing an important point here? Is this acceptable.
Thx for help

Help

I would imagine that a player could play perfectly and still lose. I know I have read on this board where many players have had many heartaches and painful sessions even though many believed they were playing well.

Advantage play doesn't mean you will always win. Be prepared for that. The winning is great but the losing is horrendous.

Short BR/Table Time

First of all table time is a must. $300 Bankroll...bet you would be pissed if shoe turned positive and you just lost your last ten.

Take a look at the KO system...it is an unbalanced system that only needs minor adjustments for 1, 2, & 6 deck games, and you DON'T have to convert it to the true count. For the most part, index play deviations are only based on a few numbers...etc.

About your bankroll...can't help ya there, cause I am a recreational player. There are $5 tables in AC, just don't expect them on the weekends.

Good luck
