Help with Game and System Selection

#41
At this point, I am leaning toward focusing on the $5 DD games, doing a 1-(6-10) spread...will mull that over...and increase my BR a few hundred dollars. $800 was a somewhat arbitrary limit I had decided on, but I have additional semi-disposable money.

I will use Hi-Lo with exact indices TBD. I have been training hard and will continue to do so.

I will certainly have a great time, win or lose. I'm not in it as much for the money as I am for the competition, the thrill, and the challenge.

Trip is not until early September, but I will be sure to let you know how it goes! Although I am sure I will have questions in the meantime.

The reality is there are less than a dozen games at the $3 to $5 minimum, and there are rarely more than one or two a casino. and it does not make sense to leave one casino to travel to another when the count on a game gets bad. The fact that there are hundreds of BJ games in Vegas is meaningless when the number of games that your BR will allow you to play is quite limited.
Wonging works best at mega-casinos like CP that have multiple BJ pits, not just multiple tables.
You are right in what you are saying but I think you missed my point that you come in at a large advantage and bet $25 or maybe even $50. You can either flat bet until the advantage decreases to much or ramp down if the table limit allows. He leaves when the advantage versus the table minimum no longer fits his optimal spread for his bankroll. If he can't find tables to implement that strategy on then your point is still valid as it pertains to my suggestion. I rarely make it out west any more so I am ignorant on how to answer this particular question.

So you are suggesting he back counts and bets 1/16th of his BR on a hand at a good count?

I am saying he is planning on sitting down and playing 3 to 30 or 5 to 50. He will expect to lose money waiting for the opportunity to get a large bet out. If he cuts out the downside of playing for an opportunity he can step in for just the opportunity, the fatter the better, and play a slightly larger bet than he would have for the opportunity greatly increasing his profit potential with less risk. It is not like he will lose money faster. He will be playing less and will likely have more ammunition for the fat opportunity. If you read my post I said $25 with a big maybe on $50. I only threw in the $50 in case he wanted to be extremely selective for his opportunity. If you wong in at about a 3% advantage (HILO TC +4 or 5?) with an $800 bankroll $25 seems like a reasonable bet. Without the unprofitable part of his spread TC +3 would be reasonable I think. Since he will only be playing 20-25% of the time his 32 bets would have more longevity. He could go broke but he has a very good shot at winning some more significant money.

some good here

Time to stick with hi lo and stop the counting schizophrenia.

Employ kj bonus advice

Employ shad small casino playing advice

Employ thrree wonging shoe advice on the strip

The reason to do all 3 is for experience.

For wonging shoes:,
Enter TC 2 and stay as long as positive RC.

Have your positive bets similar whether DD or wonging

Be prepared to lose all your money. No count can save you.
