Hi from a UK Black Jack begginer

#1
Hi all,
Just wanted to let you know about my start to the world of Black Jack, after my firsts two vists to my local Casino.

I have been twice now, the first time I won £330, the second £345.

Now I am not stupid enough to think that it is 'that easy', but I just used a bit of common sense and tried to see any patterns....

I quickly learnt that I didn't often just win one hand at a time, often in bursts of three or four. I just used this theory, with sensible stakes, (but increasing after a win, and reducing right back to £5 following a loss), to amass my 'fortune'.

On the first visit, at one time I was down £250, but thought that my luck would change eventually, as I was following the basic strategies as shown on the various BJ sites. This indeed happened, and soon I was back in the green.

On the second visit, however, I was never down at all the whole evening, although my winning pot did fluctuate during the session.

I am thinking of going again, but frightened to death that I have just been lucky, and that I COULD lose it all even with sensible stakes and my little staking 'plan'.

Your comments are much welcomed.

Thanks
Tina x

No comments about my boobs please! :D

Oh go on then!:D :D :D

Simply following “trends” or “streaks” is not going to give you an advantage. Look around on this site and read some of the other posts about betting progressions and superstitious “streak” systems and you will see why they don’t work.

We have a great mix of people who post on this website. Some just want to play for fun and minimize their losses while others are “cut-throat” players who want to earn every bit of money they can from the game. We even have a few professional and ex-pro players here. We can offer you advice on how to reach any level of playing you want to achieve. Just let us know what your goal is.

Congratulations Tina, and welcome to the forum! I'm wondering if we can get this post moved to a more appropriate category...maybe Betting Strategies?

I hate to have to tell you that your observations on the winning streaks are not going to carry you into consistent winning sessions at the casino. Blackjack is such a fickle game. The cards are not predictable based on what has happened in previous hands unless you are keeping track of which cards have made up the hands that you've observed on those prior hands (ie, counting cards).

What you are using sure sounds like a "positive progression." If you continue playing, whether you use a progression or just flat bet, you will find that over time, you will have lost approximately .65% (65 one-hundredths of one percent) of what ever your sum total wager has been over that period of time. That's the House Edge.

There's nothing wrong with that. A lot of people play recreationally and never bother taking up Advantage Play (card counting).

Yes, you have just been lucky. Unless you count cards you are expected to lose. If you learn how to play the hands (Basic Strategy), you will only lose about half a percent of what you bet. That's the best you can do without counting. So start off by learning Basic Strategy from this site.

Good Luck!

BJINFO welcomes Tina Sparx - our first (uncloseted anyway) slutty-transvestite member. Tina you MUST learn to count! zg

EXCERPT FROM ZG INTERVIEW -

Give us an example of a ‘persona’ shift that was successful.

The El Cortez is a real dive of a joint, but features very good penetration single deck action. It is
commonly believed by the hordes of red chip counters that get the boot there that the Cortez is
near impossible for successful counting.

Actually the El 'Commode' can and does tolerate bigger play with max bets up to $200+ with a
decent act and some esoteric-camo - my own tipsy/snide inebriated act and combo of betting
gambits has worked there many times, on all 3 shifts tolerating wins and losses of $1000+.

One of my protégés, with a youngish nerdy counter appearance, went all out one day to dress like
a street bum - a drugged-out speed-freak street bum, at my direction! His BR consisted of
individually crumbled 100s and 50s stuck into different pockets, and he practiced wild-eyed
movements in the mirror the night before. He also rehearsed bizarre low-toned self talk like "damn
damn I knew they would do this to me!" - eyes rolling upward when losing a big bet. And "Ya ya
this is it - payback time, yaaa" - eyes wide with demonic smile when winning a small bet. He
sounded like a Beavis or Butthead character.

He spread wildly from $10-150 with no heat on day shift and won $700 in 2.5 hours, proclaiming
the 'El Commode' to be a "candy store" he said that the pit-critters wouldn't go near him - I warned
him not to get rolled on the street when he left - his big problem upon leaving was that no cabs
would stop for his dangerous looking character.

He says that he is going to add another persona to his repertoire - a sluttishly flirtatious
transvestite, winking at the pit bosses and cooing "come talk to me baby!"

Hi Tina. My advice is to make sure you read as many boobs as possible. I'm sorry, that should say "books". Tits will help you a lot. My apologies again, that should read "This will help you a lot". Just thinking about when I first started in blackjack brings back so many great mammaries.

Bubble has burst!

You were all SO right!

I went to the Casino again last night, and within three hours I was up over £300.

Then I went mad. Chucking in loads every hand. What I didnt like was the fact that I was the only one playing at the table (towards the end of the night), and HAD to play two hands. This really knocked me back, and was the beggining of the end!

I kept thinking to myself "I am really going to do them this time" and the opposite happened.

I lost it all including £200 of my own money.

Ths makes me up £500 ish on the three visits.

I must slow down, and NOT get excited when I am showing a profit.

Your jokes about my transvestism I take on the chins!

This is a brilliant site, and I will learn to count.

Best wishes
Tina x

I know you want to!
