Hi all, I was wondering if you could give me some advice.
I'm learning CC and using Hi-Lo, however, I have a dilema regarding the TC calculation. With regards to deck estimation, I am trying to walk before I can run and estimating whole decks, however, my question is: do I round up or down?
At present I'm rounding to the nearest deck, hence, if it looks like it's just over 1 deck in the discard tray I'll round down to 1 but if I reckon it's over 1 1/2, I'll round it up to 2. Is this practice recommended?
In addition, I was wondering how to round the TC. Wong suggests just getting rid of the decimal points, which is fine, but does that hold seeing the rough guesstimate I'm doing when it comes to deck estimation?
Also, taking an example, say I have 16v10 and the RC is -1 with 5 decks remaining. Now, using the I18 (and referring back to advice given by Gamemaster in his BJ course on this site), the mere fact the RC is negative would indicate that the exact TC would be negative, hence, I would hit. However, if I round this up to zero, then the index tells me to stand.
Any comments would be very much appreciated. Love the forum and I particularly enjoy ploppie tales and stories relating to real casino encounters.
BTW, I'm 6D, DAS, NS, ENHC.
Thanks in advance and regards
Laurence.
