Hilton DD

Being down at the southern end of the boardwalk for The Atlantic City Air Show today, I ducked into Hilton afterwards to play a couple short sessions. No DD game was open, nor did I see any evidence of one. Is it gone already? Looking at the June Blackjack win for Hilton, 2.1%, I am not that surprised. Some of you guys must have been hitting that pretty hard.

Not me!
I went there twice and won total of about $750 using Hi-Lo.
Possibly positive variance.
The heat was much more than I could take, so I didn't go back after the second session.
I was the only player at the table without a ratings card, so I was immediately scrutinized.
Several times I picked up the cards with two hands to pass off as a novice, but I don’t think they bought it.

I think 4 days ago, I was there, and was told they were removed the day before. The dealer talked about how they lost a lot of money while it was open, not that I didn't contribute to that of course

Hard to believe they did lose a lot of money especially when you could only double on 10,11 and it had 50% pen.
Maybe, "losing a lot of money" means not making as much money as you had hoped.

Sorry Aslan I should have read the comments a bit more closely
No, you may be right. It's hard to interpret what they meant by losing a lot of money, and hard to believe that any blackjack game actually loses money. :)

Fifty percent pen is terrible for the house. I doubt it was cardcounters taking the money, given how bad the game was.

I doubt it lost money. Probably just too much trouble to provide qualified dealers for this pitch game for just a few tables that are closed most of the time anyway.
I am not so sure about this AM. If you look at the June Hilton Numbers. The Bj win was 2.1%. AC average is over 16%. Even Hilton's Average had been well into double digits. So in that month, somebody won some money off some of the blackjack games for that number to be so low. I am not saying it was the double deck game, because we don't get that breakdown, but the double deck game is gone a month later. That tells me something.

When you see numbers like that, it was probably a high roller or two who hit some luck. That's the problem with small casinos - they get hit with variance, too.
