is there a big difference between single deck and double deck?

theres a casino nearby (jackson rancheria) that offers double deck...

the rules are:

double 9/10/11 only

no doubling after splits

dealer hits soft 17

Bj pays 3:2

can i still use hi opt 1?

what is the pen like? 50%? overall that is a pretty crappy game, if pen is less than 60% it is almost not worth playing, the house edge is at least .61
i know because right around me all the DD games are like this. complete crap.

Depends on the betting spread you can get away with. 1-10 or 1-12 makes it playable. Otherwise, you'd be better off back-counting shoes.

Not being able to double on soft hands is a deal killer,to me.I'd also guess that the game is dealt face down which severely restricts your ability to interact with other players hands.
