I was just getting the right BS for all the casinos around me, so i plugged in.. Dealer hits soft 17, Double any two cards, Double after split allowed, Early surrender (before first card is dealt) and No peak (Deal gets second card AFTER everyone has played their hands).

This says a house advantage of only 0.14% on 6 deck and an advantage of 0.07% on 4 deck. Those numbers can't be correct, are they?

Just how does this work?

There’s getting to be a lot of confusion about early surrender, which I can understand with the no peek business. You have 16, dealer has A showing (but no hole card yet), so you surrender. Please describe EXACTLY what happens from the time you indicate surrender to when you get half your bet back.

Edit:

Early surrender is very beneficial to the player, and is supposed to be rare. But it seems like there’s been a lot of talk lately about early surrender.

Early surrender means you can surrender before the dealer checks for blackjack. When the dealer has no hole card, you do technically surrender before he checks for blackjack. What I want to know is if they have some procedure where you lose your entire bet if the dealer ends up with a blackjack. If they do, then it’s late surrender.

For this "Early Surrender", I am dealt a 16 vs 10. The dealer looks at the table and says "Surrender?". If i say yes, i give him my bet, he takes half for the house, gives half back and takes my cards away.

So you do have ES vs. T. What about vs. A? And the other upcards? Answer these questions and I can tell you the house advantage. (The BS charts here assume ES against any upcard.)

As I mentioned, the BS charts here assume ES against every upcard. It turns out that most of the benefit of ES is when you can do it against a dealer ace. For 6D, ES vs. T only, the house advantage is 0.4828%. For 4D, it’s 0.4328%.
