Knock-Out/Casino Veritie Blackjack

Has someone written a useful tutorial for using Knock-Out Blackjack in Casino Verite Blackjack software? I bought the software a few months ago from Ken on this website, but I haven't really used it yet. I put it aside for a while now I want to get back into practicing. When I first tried it, I couldn't figure out how to put the correct counting system into the counting drills. I also couldn't figure out how to put the starting count that I would use instead of 0.

I really don't know where to begin. I wonder if there is a tutorial specific for KO and Verite? I'm not really sure how much of what's in this software I need to practice for my situation. I'll be playing at Foxwoods where they have 8 decks. The software has an incredible amount of options. It's confusing for someone who hasn't used it very long.

The common method of changing a strategy is to create a new user strategy based on one of the included strategies and modify it. However, since the request to change the IRC for KO is so common, I added a simple method. First, download the latest update from http://www.qfit.com/downloads.htm . From the main menu, select STRATEGIES-PLAYING STRATEGIES (COMPLEX.) You will see an option "Force Initial RC to." Turn this option on and set the value you wish for the IRC. The IRC, Playing indexes and Insurance indexes will be changed on all screens, the games and the drills.

Other than that, the only KO specific advice is to not bother with True Count or Deck Estimation Drills. Set the casino you wish to emulate, adjust the speeds to your liking and practice.

When practicing the counting drills, why does it tell you the number for the running count if I don't answer within a half second? Is there a way to turn that off so it doesn't tell you?
