wondering if anyone has info about Chicago/Gary and/or Detroit. Particularly that one game with the tens missing. Just knowing H17-S17 and # of decks is useful, although pen is even better. Willing to trade info about lots of places. PM's please...

Blue Chip in Michigan City is S17. That's the only game I know of in the region that is S17. From what I've seen and read here, the other games along the I-94 corridor all suck, including and especially Detroit and Chicago. You can find a few decent games in central and northern Michigan at Indian Casinos.
