I am confused here. If you don't like the smoke, don't play.

People who gamble with little rhyme or reaosn? You understand that most people think this way about APs. And if it were not for the other people then the casinos wouldn not make money.

I thank God for people who make bets with no rhym or reason.

As for the idiots that talk about me making a bad move, (I am talking about the people at the casino complaining about my move) I get off on pissing them off even more and making them leave. You have to take it as a challenge to see how pissed off you can make them.

My pet peeves: toke hustling and unsolicited advice (players or dealers).

I don't understand the gripes against chip clicking or knocking on the table, though. Both of these are totally harmless.

Hey Blue. Thanks for the comp, I think Rhino knew what I meant when I said that. Someone being nice is always enjoyable, but where I play I am hoping the person doesn't lose their teeth and their breathe doesn't make me pass out when they speak. I sit at the red tables and I dont get many interesting people to chat with. Last week I did, I met some great people who let me play how I play with no peanut gallery commentary and we talked the stock market, economy in NJ, places to eat, things that dont bore the crap out of me. But hey, maybe your right, we may hate one another if we met in person...

If people did not do this is would sure make things such as shuffletracking or card steering look extremly obvious

I use "being the horndog" as part of my act. I can tell you wouldn't like a 24 year old boy hitting on you.

The other day I had this guy sitting next to me telling me not to double my 11 vs dealers 10. So I doubled of coarse.. pulled a deuce and then he looks at me and says "See I told you" "You never double against a dealer's face card" About 5 minutes later I get an 11 vs dealer's 10 again. I double.. not much better.... I get a 3 card. So, he turns again to me and says "Man, you never learn, your going to lose all your money to the casino"

And I remember a different time, don't remember the count but it was high enough to take insurance with the Ace showing.. so I take insurance.... and this guy sitting at the table says "No! No! you never take insurance. It's a very bad bet." "You shouldn't ever take insurance unless you become a card counter":laugh:

I shuffle my chips all the time, it's just a habit. I'm usually nervous, anxious, and so excited. I just gotta fiddle with something.

I'm just an amateur counter but I know my basics pretty darn well. So if I go hit up the tables with some friends, it's really annoying when they ask for advice, disregard it, win the hand, and then start bashing me like I'm an idiot and don't know how to play. Like when they stay on A,7 v 10 and win, or double their 9 v 8 and win.

It drives me nuts.

Pitcher!

Asians shouting "PITCHER!" slapping the table as he deals their card, is OK for the first 1000 times... but after that, it's getting on my nerves. Then the slots fire up over there... didn't you know, (700 times already!), there are BMW cars to be won, HERE NOW!:cat:

At least during the poker craze of 2003-2005, anyone who shuffled their chips was assumed to be a poker player, and most poker players were assumed to be idiots. Use it to your advantage, get a poker hat and a pair of sunglasses, and stand by patting your hand on the felt (per the "check" motion in poker).

That looks more like hitting than standing, doesn't it?

2). Continuous under their breath mutterers about your play
This will shut them up:

Ask them, "Has it over occurred to you to be polite? Tell you what-- whatever it was that you disagreed with, I'll just keep doing it until you leave the table or learn some manners."

Works every time. They either turn polite or they leave. In either case, you don't have to listen to their BS any more.

I'm surprised no one mentioned one of my irritations.

After the dealer gives you a card to make 19 or 20 and says "Good hit!"

Of course the dealer draws to beat me by one.

That's the point. The first time you do it, you'll get chastised for an ambiguous signal. I've never had a problem with accidentally getting a hit, but if you're scared, don't do it if you draw an ambiguous hand.
