Not an error, but I played today at a place I haven't been to for 6 months, primarily because they shout out "green action" and a so-so game.
Anyway, I was dealt a 7,7 v 5 and I split them. Dealer screamed out "splitting sevens." I almost sprayed my beverage on the table with that one
Don't think I'll go back for another 6 months...

[Aslan's soapbox] For every person who loses his or her life savings in a casino, one casino executive should be selected at random, fired, and jailed for 20 years in a maximum security prison. Maybe then, casino management would begin taking responsibility for their part in the addictions and misconceptions they so avidly foster in potential patrons. I've been said to defend casinos, and I do find good in them, but the bottom line is the overall damage done and supported by their active promotion, and justified in their minds by their halfhearted disclaimers and warnings about gambling addiction and the risks involved. I wonder if it [casinos] would even be a viable business if the nature of gambling addiction and the risks of gambling against the house advantage were drilled into the public mind. If a business fails only because the truth is generally known by the public, then it does not deserve to be a business in the first place, and the state should decline to license it. Sorry APs, but in an ideal world (Aslan's vision, anyway), you might be forced to use your discipline and mental skills to make a living in the business world, where I have no doubt you would excel just the same.
