My crazy Blackjack hand!

Based on my recent experiences, the dealer's 6 bothers me more than any other up card. I have seen dealers pull miracle hand after miracle hand with this one more than any other, it seems.

Getting double down / split hands vs. a six is usually when I start quoting Army of Darkness:
"Wait. It's a trick. Get an axe."

Of course, an upcard of a six isn't exactly the same as a zombie witch playing possum, but it's close enough.

Hand of death

I have a hand that I consider to me my "hand of death"

It have had this happen to me FOUR TIMES and it has KILLED me each time

Count is positive. I'll have a large bet out (for my bankroll)

Once this happened with $75 bet, the other 3 times $50 bet.

88 vs dealer 3.

I'd split and draw 8's accross the board. Then draw 3's or 2's. Double down on everything and the dealer rips a 20 or 21.

It has happened to me at New York New York, El Cortez, Meskwaki (Iowa), and Borgata in AC.

I really hate that hand.

heh, heh i watched a guy clean my local casino's clock with that scenerio once. dealer busted.

a few weeks ago.. after about half an hour of "up and down" blackjack i was at even point (20 units of $25 chip = $500)

my goal that night was to try and make $400 profit..

a few minutes later i was up $50 (22 units)..

so i put out the $50 in one bet and thought (if i can leave it on there for three winning hands i can make $400 profit.

first hand blackjack ($125).. (stuck my orginal plan as i had made a pact with the guy sitting next to me who was betting behind me)

second hand won with 18 vs dealer 17.. ($250)

last hand with $250 out there ......

faced a pair of 4's against a dealer 5.

used $250 (half my session BR) to split them.....then got a six... put up the other (last $250 i had for the double down.. tap the table for luck and the dealer delivered the ace!)
the other hand i stood on 14.

dealer ended up busting.. and there was much cheering at the table (myself the loudest)
