Freshly turned 21 year old from the great state of South Dakota here sayin hello and seeking advice. On my birthday weekend I got a hotel room with my gf at the local big scene casino so I could try my luck at winning some millions. ha. Ive always liked playin poker and blackjack with friends and I'm a alright player but casino games are like learning it all over again. and after realizing that slots are sucker games and that the texas hold em tables are to crowded for me i decided to play some blackjack, and realized its by far the best casino game. I took $50 to it (which was my limit, hey im 21 working a job the pays 8 bucks an hour so i dont got too much extra funds to gamble with) and at one point i was a little over $20 bucks ahead, but ended up loosing it all shortly. im not too bummed about it since it was my 21st and i didnt loose anything i couldnt afford, but i realized i liked the game, and also found out that drinking and gambling dont mix. ha
So now im trying to learn and perfect basic strategy, i started practicing hi/low card counting, and im searchin the net for any tips i can get. so i can go back and try and get some of my money back. ha
So if anyone has any advice for a begginer, or could recomend a good blackjack book, dvd or website for basic stratagies and such id appericiate it.
