I have this old game called Casino Deluxe published by Masque. It's not your typical casino software, and I believe it is one of the very first games that offers the WSP at Binions. Cira, 1996
Anyway, the object, yes, there is an object to the game, that is to take your 5000 bankroll, play the casino games and increase your bankroll to 10,000.00. The buy in amount for the World Series of Poker. You also can see a seminar and read about proper strategies, and should you lose your BR, you can leave the casino and sell your watch. You also ask the front desk if you have any messages and from time to time your uncle has left you with some money. And of course go home and get 5000 more.
Anyways, my mom was the first in the house to beat the game, I was the 2nd. So I've been working on a game strategy for Carribean Stud Poker. Surfing the net I found that there is no way to reduce the house edge of 5.24%. The edge is also dependent on following the proper fold/raise scheme.
For months I've been up and down, winning and losing. Then after finding the 2nd best fold raise system, I started working out a betting scheme.
The 2nd best fold/raise strategy is as follows and raises the house edge to 5.25%
1. Never play the progressive jackpot. It only cost a dollar and you need to get a minimum FLUSH to get 50.00 for your 1$. It's a sucker bet. And I have no idea if it effect the CSM used for dealing the cards. When your $1 side bet is recorded, does the CSM have knowledge about it? Conspiracy stuff here.
2. Raise Any Pair.
3. If you have A-K-Q-J-x, always raise.
4. If you have A-K-Q-x-x only raise if one of your cards matches the dealer's up card.
5. If you have A-K-J-x-x only raise if one of your cards matches the dealer's up card.
5. If you have A-K-10-x-x only raise if one of your cards matches the dealer's up card.
The betting scheme thank I've worked out is a varience of the Martingale, and the object at a certain point is to have your winning ante and raise bet total a break even net should you with with AK or a single pair. The game has a pay table and if you are interested in learning about the game, you've seen on the floor, you need to check it out.
The rules of the games are simple. Before any cards are dealt, you must ante. You also have the option of entering the progressive Jackpot side game for a buck. You need a FLUSH or better to get anything out of it.
Once you ante, all players are dealt 5 cards face down. The dealer is then dealt 5 cards with ONE card being face up.
Once this happens you look at your hand and deside if you want to raise your bet. Your raise is 2x the ante. So if your ante is 5, your raise must be 10.
You will not be given the option to draw more card as in 5 card draw. The five cards you are dealt are the five cards you use to make your raise/fold choice.
Once all the player raise or fold the dealer turns up his/her cards.
If the dealer has AK, it qualifies and all winning antes, and raise bets are paid out. The ante ALWAYS pays even money. The RAISE bet is paid out according to the pay table.
If the dealer does not have AK, the dealer does not qualify and only the ANTE gets paid at even money. Your raise bet gets returned to you.
Here is the betting scheme that has worked out well without needing to bet more money than I have in my 1000.00 bankroll. For now assume all hands are losers except for the final hand. this is the ANTE amount only, and if you should raise, it would cost you 2x ante.
5 5 5 5 5 10 15 20 25 35 45 60 80 105 190
Your 1st 5 ANTES are 5 for a total of 25. For these hands, a raise bet would be 10.
The next 4 antes are 10, 15, 20, 25. Raise bet would be 20,30,40,50.
You see that winning the 10 ante and 20 raise would give you 30 for a win of 5.
The next 2 antes are 35, 45. Raise bet would be 70, 90.
You see that winning the 35 ante and 70 raise would give you 105 for a win of 15.
The next 3 antes are 60, 80, 105. Raise bet would be 120, 160, 210.
You see that winning the 60 ante and 120 raise bet would give you 180 for a win of 5.
The final 190 ante is the maximum bet you can make and still have enough to raise without taking more money out of your pocket. The raise is 380. winning this hand will give you a 570.00 and a win of 140.00
It's not perfect, just something I was working on to pass time. If anyone has input, I would read it. The game does have a house edge that CAN NOT be over come. It's always in the house's kitchen.
I also just learned you can do work at the travel agent for more money. Gotta check this out.
I took a look for a free download online from the two sites that have abandoned software for free download, but it's not there. The software may still be protected by the publisher. If you are interested in classic/OLD free software, let me know, and I'll post the two links.
Have a great day!
