Penthouse Casino, Atlantic City.

The former owner of Penthouse just died, and I was reading that he lost millions building a casino in Ac that never opened as he didn't get his gaming permits. Anyone know anything about this?

In reading the Obit, I see where Mr Guccione tried to buy the property owned by Vera Coking in 1983 for one million dollars but she refused. That is the same broad that would not sell to Trump in 1993 so I am guessing The Penthouse Casino was going to be on the location that Trump Plaza now stands. Ms. Coking apparently held her own against two different giants. Trump even tried to have the sate of New Jersey claim the property via eminent domain which she fought in court and won. In 2007, she sold the property, not to Trump, but to a competing casino property just to spite him. (article doesn't say which competeing casino) That property still sits there vacant. That must really irk him. :laugh:

The Penthouse Casino location was about a block south of the Trump Plaza.

Trump built the East tower of the Trump Plaza on the sight.
