I am wondering if it is a bad idea to play in BJ tournaments in Casinos where I AP BJ often?

Will they see I am a serious player and watch me more closely?

No, it will be a good thing.

BTW, serious players put their OWN money on the line;)

Real and serious tournament pros and semi-pros do NOT count in tournies - there is much more important stuff to learn about tournies, barring which you will not come out ahead. zg

I am not talking about counting in a tourny nor did I say anything about counting in a tourny.

I want to play in a tourny at a Casino that I play at (and count) often and was wondering if this is a bad idea that may hurt me when I am playing (beyond tourny play)

thanks for the reply

Don't some professional writers even go so far as to say that tournies are EV positive if you learn how to bet correctly?

I've never played in a blackjack tourney, but if the entrants are as piss-poor as entrants for the daily poker tourneys, it's all but guaranteed you have a decent shot of winning, and the only question is whether you can beat the rake.

Yes, play and bet - tournies are more profitable for pros than poker tournies. zg
