Please forgive if this has been answered before.

What are the chances of 4 deuces or better losing to a better hand in Texas Hold'em, using both hole cards?

Probably not that good. Although I would be willing to bet the odds of you losing that hand are better than me losing both times I was AI preflop with AA v AA.

My spouse, soon after I taught her how to play poker, won the lion's share of a $50,000+ Bad Beat Jackpot.

Her Quad Jacks were 'cracked' by a straight flush to the King in spades !

Recently on TV I was watching the world series of poker-I think 2008. Ray Romano was at this table and he had mucked his hand. There were two players left whose names I do not recall. The game was no limit Teas Holdem of course. One player had 4 Aces the other had a Royal Straight Flush!
I think the commentators said the odds of those two hands occurring on the same round were 1 in 2.8 or maybe it was 3.8 BILLION. UNREAL!:joker:

As world class Poker Pro, Barry Greenstein likes to say: "Math is idiotic"

Two and a half years ago I taught my wife to play poker.

Very soon thereafter she won a $50,000 Bad Beat Jackpot (Texas Hold Em)

Her "Quad" Jacks were "cracked" by a straight flush to the King (in spades).

In "Bad beat Jackpot" terms, that was a small win. Five (and even ten) times that amount are fairly commonplace.
