Dear Black Jack players. I realize this is a high caliber black jack forum. However I hope someone will answer my lowly question. Basically I am helping my son to complete a report he is doing on the game of Black Jack. One thing we are uncertain about is the process of splitting. I do not have access to a casino without having to drive for a half a day.
So here is my question. Suppose you are dealt two Aces. You then split those Aces into two hands. The hand on the left is hand A and the hand on the right is hand B. Now the dealer must deal each new single card hand a second card. And then the hands will proceed to be played out. So here are two questions.
1) After splitting the two cards, is hand B dealt a card and then hand A is dealt a card in that order so that both hands now have two cards? Or is hand A dealt a card and then hand B on the right is dealt a second card.
2) Now after both A and B have two cards, we now have two hands to play. Now does the dealer and player start playing with hand B on the right first? And after that hand is dealt cards to stand or bust, is the next hand; hand A played out?
Or is it the reverse, where hand A played first, and then hand B on the right.
We were thinking this might vary from Casino to Casino. However we just want to know what the official rule is if any.
I would deeply appreciate a response. God bless all card counters, as they make up for the busloads of seniors who throw away their money at the casinos(LOL) Just kidding. Thanks in advance and have a great day.
