Rookie To card counting learnt USTON APC "SEASONED PLAYERS HELP"

Hi everyone,

Im fairly new to card counting. I decided to get into it since i spend so much time in the casino and can't seem to win at poker anymore.

I have learnt the Uston APC system which i have been told by a few people over the last few days has become obsolete.

"I learnt the system by reading playing blackjack like the pro's" and im currently waiting for the 1981 edition of million dollar blackjack in the mail =)

I have got the count down to a tee and have praticed counting for over 50+ hours on casino verite.

My question is am i wasting my time learning this strategy to play multiple deck games, 8 sometimes 6.

Aside from this being one of the more complex strategies to learn because of the ace side count and range from -3 , +3


Should i continue to learn this strategy or should i scrap this project and learn something else.

Any help or comments would be appricated.

Of course im in this to make the most money i can, so if there is a better strategy that will make me more money please advise me.

Well, at least you're working your way through the counts chronologically.

If you really have Uston APC down cold, then I would recommend trying it out, and verifying if you really do have it down cold in casino conditions.

If it's a breeze,then you may want to consider one of the fancier counts out there, which would require equal or less brainpower, but give a little more effectiveness.

If it's a nightmare, then you can drop to a much easier count, like Hi-lo or KO.

In general, and definitely in shoe games, you are better off learning a simple count and learning indeces than learning a complicated count. The risk/return ratio is a lot better. BUT, if you can use the APC, more power to you.

In the long run if i use the APC startegy as apose to the ZEN strategy will i be making less money.


I really only have access to multiple deck games usually 8 drecks.

What is the Most powerful system for those, im under the assumption i can learn any strategy since i learned the APC strategy.

Try the gordon multiparameter index, sidecounting 6,7,8,9,A just for starters. That should keep you busy, for a day or two.:laugh: See rich in ace's in the archive.page 2. No but really you should go with revere p.c or the zen, level 2 ace reckoned. see blackjack therapy.
But just for the record i think the victor apc is the strongest. Good luck. jj.

Strongest System

For 8 deck games I can't see using more than a level one system with the I18 plus a few extras. You would be better off spending your extra hours back-counting tables than learning a new system. There is just not enough advantages in an 8 deck game plus your BC is so much more important than your PE or IC. If you were an aspiring pro or could play single/double deck perhaps Omega II with an Ace Sidecount would give you the biggest edge, provided you could play it without errors over long sessions. I think Zen is the more popular among single/double deck players, but am speculating.

That comes directly from Ken Uston - Uston On BJ 1986.
The UAPM is OK, though. zg
